Women College Gandhi Nagar holds programme on Wildlife

JAMMU, May 17: Department of Zoology Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar today organized a programme in collaboration with G20 Club of the College at Manda Zoological Park Jammu in which 36 students of Semester-II of Multidisciplinary Course (Wildlife Conservation) along with the faculty members participated.
The students discussed wildlife of Jammu and Kashmir, their habitat and status of being vulnerable and getting endangered. They also discussed Gharana Wetland and Wild Life of Jammu with the Department of Wildlife Protection, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The students took a pledge to conserve wildlife resources along with faculty and students of the college.
SK Gupta, Principal Chief Conservator of Fossils (Wildlife) and Dr Meenakshi Bandral (HoD) Zoology, Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu joined the students.
Whole programme was conducted with support of Ghulam Qadir and Sanjeev Kumar, Range Officers of the Wildlife Department with active support of Prof Nargis Nelofar, Dr Ashma Gupta and Dr Neha Antal of the Women College.
