Notorious criminal arrested, booked under PIT NDPS

JAMMU, May 17: Bishnah Police today arrested and booked a notorious criminal under the provisions of illicit trafficking in narcotics drugs and psychotropic substance Act, 1988 (PITNDPS).
A team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna laid a trap and and on the basis of technical and human intelligence, ultimately succeeded in apprehending the accused identified as Baldev Raj alias Raju son of late Kalu Ram of village Kothey Bulanday (Bishnah) from Chorli Bishnah area.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person is notorious criminal and a desperate character. He was booked under PIT NDPS under the order passed by Divisional Commissioner Jammu for his repeated involvement in drugs peddling.
The accused is a notorious drug peddler, active in Bishnah area for the last few years and involved in a number of FIRs registered against him in Bishnah and other police stations of Jammu district. After arrest, the accused was shifted to District Jail Amphalla.
