Kathua police seizes 4 vehicles for illegal mining

KATHUA, May 17: Acting sternly against illegal mining within the district, Kathua, Police today seized four vehicles (including one excavator machine, one dumper & two tractor trolleys) indulged in illegal mining/transportation of construction material within Kathua district.
In the first instance a police team headed by PSI, Rahul Prashar, in charge PP, Nagri under the supervision of DySP, Headquarters, Kathua Manjeet Singh and Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra SHO, PS Kathua during patrolling and checking duty in its jurisdictional area at Pandori area seized one Excavator Machine being driven by Amit Kumar, son of Bishan Dass of Bhamial tehsil and district Pathankot along with one dumper bearing Registration Number PB35Z-0737 driven by person namely  Mubarak Hussain son of Abdul Sadiq indulged in illegal mining/ transportation of construction material without any legal permission. While in the second instance the police team of PS Billawar led by Inspector, Jatinder Singh, SHO PS Billawar under the supervision of SDPO Billawar, Arvind Kumar JKPS during patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area near Naaj Bride intercepted two tractors along with trolleys bearing Registration number JK08F-6284 driven by Roshan Lal, son of Bishan Das  of Garh tehsil, Billawar and other bearing Registration Number JK08L-6245 driven by Sunil Kumar, son of Bal Krishan of Tilla, tehsil Billawar coming from Naaj bridge loaded with crusher sand without “A”  form.
Meanwhile all the four vehicles indulged in illegal mining were seized and immediately handed over to the officials of the Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
