Coalition Govt committed to uplift under privileged: Vikar

BANIHAL, Dec 1: Minister of State for Technical Education and Power, Vikar Rasool Wani today visited the Teli (Harog) area of Banihal constituency   and conducted a public grieveness redressal camp.
While addressing the public gathering at Teli Harog, the Minister said that during the last five years Banihal constituency has witnessed an era of development in which number of roads projects and bridges have been completed and number of new schools opened. He said electrification of uncovered areas in the tehsil has been taken up on priority.
He reiterated that the road connectivity, electricity, drinking water supply, health facility and education sectors are on priority of Government so that poor people of remote areas are provided better basic facility nearer their doorsteps. He said the Coalition Government is committed to the upliftment of ST community.
He said that Government has started number of flagship schemes for betterment of people including NRHM, MGNREGA, SJSY, MDM, IAY, etc. and  stressed upon the youth to come forward to avail the benefit of free technical training courses outside the state in different trades so that youth can get jobs in different ongoing mega projects
He announced six Anganwari centres in three Panchayat Halqas, upgradation of Megdhar school  and assured that the Health Sub center will also be opened soon in area. He said total electrification of the area will be completed in shortest possible time. He asked the ACR to clear the pendency of compensation cases.
Earlier, people projected their demands which includes upgradation of schools, opening of health centre, repairs of power transformers, new road projects, opening of Anganwari Centres, provision of solar lights and disposal of pending land compensation cases. Responding to the demands, Minister assured that all the genuine demands will be fulfilled in shortest possible time.
