POONCH, May 18: The dead body of a middle aged man was recovered from a Nallah in Seri Chohana area of Surankote tehsil in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that soon after receiving information, a Police team reached the spot where a large number of people had already gathered. With the help of locals, the body was retrieved and shifted to Sub District Hospital, Surankote.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Sadiq (45), son of Alaf Din, a resident of Nabna Madana village in Surankote.
Station House Officer, Surankote, Inspector Mukhtiar Ali said that dead body was handed over to the family for last rites after performing legal formalities.
“As per the initial information, the deceased slipped and fell into the Nallah,” he added.
