Birth anniversary of Sant Rocha Singh celebrated

JAMMU, Dec 1: Sikh Sangat in grand function organised at Dehri Sahib Gadigarh celebrated the  325th birth anniversary of  Sant Thakar Bhai Rocha Singh ji  and 285th birthday of  his successor Sant Bhai  Hakeekat Singh ji here today.
The prominent Ragi Jathas from Amaritsar and other places participated in this grand religious function at the Gurdwara. Gadigarh. Giani Singh Sahib former head Granthi Sri Darbar Saheb Amritsar  and several other leaders  including Santokh Singh Komal, Dr V K Kapoor, Director Law School (Retd),  Surinder Singh advocate, Inderjit Singh Chamak (Retd DIG), Mohinder Singh Khalsa, Surjit Kour from PDP addressed  the gathering and threw light on the role and sacrifices of these saints towards different communities.
Sant Bhai Rocha Singh ji  and his successor Sant Bhai Hakeekat Singh ji of Dera Dehri Sahib Rawlakot (PoK) brought a total revolution in educating the public on humanity, equality and brotherhood as per teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji. They appreciated the efforts of Late Mahant Inder Singh  and Dehri Sahib Trust in establishing Dera  Dehri Sahib at Gadigarh near Jammu. J S Rissam gave back ground of the Dera  and future programme for the expansion of complex. During function a community langar was also served to the devotees.
