Yudhvir inaugurates medical camp

JAMMU, May 20: Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president has urged the people to be health conscious and keep regularly monitoring their health to avoid any complicacies in future.
He stated this after inaugurating a Neuropathy Medical Camp organized by Dr Rajesh Gupta, renowned Physician here at Parade.
The camp witnessed a heavy footfall of people. Over 150 persons were examined for different ailments while fibro scan test was also conducted free of cost.
Yudhvir Sethi, in his address, said that awareness is the only way to prevent the complications of different diseases but unfortunately even today there are a lot of people who run for magical cure which only delays the treatment ultimately leading to complications. He said that people need to come forward for their routine check-ups not only in the camps organized for the purpose but also in the health institutions across this Union Territory as the Government has ensured enhanced facilities in these institutions including those in the remote and far flung areas.
Sethi asserted that health camps will be held regularly in future and asked the people to visit these camps for diagnosis, treatment and awareness. He appreciated Dr Rajesh Gupta, renowned physician, for his efforts to hold the medical camp as well as imparting awareness to the people.
Dr Rajesh Gupta, while speaking on the occasion, advised the patients about the importance of exercise and proper diet besides regular monitoring of blood sugar which can prevent the long term compilations in the form of nephropathy and cardio vascular diseases. He said that despite massive efforts on this front, majority of people in our country do not have access to proper medical care, thus compromising their quality of life.
He advised people to eat healthy food besides keeping an eye on their over-all health parameters.
