PTTI Vijaypur organizes workshop on Artificial Intelligence

SAMBA, May 23: One day workshop on “Chat GPT and Artificial Intelligence (AI)” was organized by Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur in collaboration with Department of National Security Studies, Central University of Jammu (CUJ) for staff and trainees of the Institute.
On the occasion, Dr Ekta Manhas, Assistant Professor , Department of National Security Studies, Central University of Jammu delivered an illuminating lecture on Artificial Intelligence (AI), security opportunity and challenges thereof. While speaking on the occasion, Dr Ekta said Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the ability of machines to react and behave in ways similar to humans , in terms of thinking , decision making and having an intention. She said that Artificial Intelligence is a powerful tool that helps us rethink how we use information, analyee data and make better decisions. In the interactive sessions following the lecture, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in thought provoking discussions.
In the Valedictory address, Shiv Kumar, SSP, Principal PTTI, Vijaypur briefed about merits and demerits of Artificial Intelligence. He said that the Institute has organized first of its kind workshop to aware police personnel about emerging security challenges due to Artificial Intelligence.
Principal PTTI, Vijaypur complimented Dr Ekta Manhas for sharing valuable experience with the participants. He also complimented Dr J Jaganaathan, Assistant Professor and Head of Department of National Security Studies, Central University of Jammu for deputing team of intellectuals for sharing experience on such an important topic and hoped for similar coordination in future too.
Among others, Zia-Ul-Haq (Admn/Outdoor), Kuldeep Raj, Dy SP (Indoor/Tech) Inspectors, Vivek Kalsotra, Surinder Paul, Mulkh Raj, Ram Lal, Javed Hussain, Anil Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Tariq Mehmood, Kanwal Raina, Himanshu Dutta, SI Kapil Raina and Narinder Kumar were present on the occasion.
