JAMMU, May 23: Police claimed today that they have arrested a bootlegger and seized 65 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession here at Rajiv Nagar area of the District.
They said that special teams of Police Post Narwal led by SDPO East Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal and incharge Police Post Narwal, PSI Lalit Sharma rounded up the suspect later identified as Rohit of Rajiv Nagar Jammu during routine checking at Rajiv Nagar area.
He has been booked in case FIR number 159/2023 under section 48(a) of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up, police said.
