KATHUA, Dec 3: A delegation of Industrialists from Kathua led by Charanjit Singh Dhola met Superintending Engineer, M&RE here today and discussed various problems being faced by them due to 18 hour power curtailment in the area.
The delegation informed him that instead of providing round the clock electricity to industrial area in organized sector, the 12 to 18 hour power curtailments has hampered their production.
They said if this system prevails the most of the industrial unit holders will be forced to close their units. The delegation sought immediate intervention of the SE in the matter and urged him to issue directives to concerned officers to maintain round the clock power supply to industrial units in the district.
The delegation demanded that there should be no unscheduled power cut in the industrial area of Kathua.
