JAMMU, Dec 3: All J&K Movement for Peace and Justice (AJKMPJ) today maintained that Article 370 is of no use to common masses and only politicians and bureaucrats besides some selected families are its beneficiaries, which instead of devolving and decentralizing the powers to the constitutional institutions like Panchayats, SVO, SAC, etc, try to harp on illusionary instruments like self rule or autonomy.
“These self style leaders, who pooh-pooh the statement of BJP’s PM candidate, Narendra Modi, on Article 370, are the main culprits, who have centeralized all the powers with them without allowing the benefits of Article 370 to percolate down to masses”, said Kuldeep Kumar Rao, an active member of the Movement.
Attacking severely on the so called advocates of Jammu region, Rao questioned why they made no hue and cry when the ban on delimitation commission during BJP rule at the Centre, was made applicable to the J&K State in 2002 without wasting time by the State Assembly.
