SUNDERBANI, May 27: One person has died due to electric shocks near his house while his relatives blocked Lam- Nowshera road of block Qila Darhal and held protest against district administration.
According to reports Mohd Akram (50), resident of village Pukhrni went to his fields during early morning. On the way, a live electric cable had felled on the ground. He got trapped in wire and received severe electric shocks. His relatives and family members rushed him to Lam Hospital where doctors declared him as dead.
Later, his relatives shifted his body on Lam- Nowshera road and shouted slogans against Power Development Department and district administration, demanding compensation.
ADC Nowshera rushed to the spot and assured them for relief and shifted body for postmortem.
