JAMMU, May 28: Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (Social Wing of Sant Nirankari Mission) organized a blood donation camp in Branch Domana (Zone 1- Jammu).
The camp was inaugurated by Anu Behl (Special Secretary – School Education), Ranjeet Singh (State Taxes) and Mahohar Lal (District Treasury Officer) in the presence of Ajit Singh (Zonal Incharge, Sant Nirankari Mission, Zone 1, Jammu).
Speaking on the occasion, Ajit Singh admired donors for their true selfless service for the welfare of the people. He told that the first blood donation camp was organized in 1986 and since then blood donation camps are being organized by the Mission to spread the message of Baba Hardev Singh Ji ‘blood should flow in veins not in drains’.
“Till now Sant Nirankari Mission has donated more than 12,50,000 units of blood,” said Ajit Singh and highlighted the other socio spiritual activities of the Mission.
Parshotam Singh (Mukhi branch, Domana) presented the vote of thanks. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr Salvi, Dr Deepshikha and Dr Yaseer from Blood Bank of GMC Jammu, Vishal Shoor (SDPO Domana) and social workers of the society.
The camp was held in collaboration with Blood & Transfusion Department of Government Medical College Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS.
