SAMBA, Dec 4: MLA Samba, Yash Pal Kundal, today disbursed cheques among 234 beneficiaries of flood affected families, whose houses had been damaged during the monsoon by incesant rainfall or flash floods of Sarna Niabat in a relief camp organized at Sarna, here.
He was accompanied by DDC Samba, RK Varma and Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), MY Malik.
While addressing the gathering, Kundal said that main aim of organizing this camp is to provide help to the beneficiaries at the door step without facing any difficulty. He also appreciated the work of district administration of Samba in preparing relief cases by framing various committees by DDC Samba.
Earlier, Malik briefed the gathering about the relief camps organized by the administration.
Among others Tehsildar, Sarpanchs, Panchs and large number of people of the area attended the function.
