J&K witnessing unprecedented development: Bharat Bhushan

Kick starts macadamization worth Rs 1.7 cr

JAMMU, May 30: DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today kick started macadamization work of 2.1 Km road with an estimated cost of Rs 1.7 cr from Village Jerry Kherry to Village Kanger under ‘City and Town’ Plan.
On the occasion, BDC Chairman, Kuldeep Raj, Ajay Shrama district general secretary BJP, Sarpanch , Amin Choudhary, Rakesh Singh, Mandal president BJP, Ex Sarpanch, Narinder Singh, Asgar Ali district president ST Morcha BJP, DySP retd Ghulam Rasool, Ganga Ram and others PRI members  were present.
Referring to works started today, the DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan said that the execution of works has been initiated and all pending roads would be macadamized in a phased manner, with no compromise with quality of work. Special care will be taken during execution of different works so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in future, he added.
Bharat Bhushan, while stressing upon the executing agency to maintain quality of the work, said that it should be completed within the prescribed time.
The DDC Chairman was apprised by the public about the lack of various other facilities. Taking note of all the highlighted demands, he assured people that all their demands would be fulfilled at the earliest. He also assured that besides development projects, various welfare schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and needy will be taken at the door steps of the genuinely deserving people in the constituency.
He also lauded LG Manoj Sinha led administration for leaving no stone unturned in carrying forward the priority schemes and projects launched by the Centre from time to time. He said it is the result of synchronized efforts of the Union Government and the UT Administration that Jammu and Kashmir is today witnessing unprecedented number of developmental projects on ground and that too being carried out at unprecedented pace.
The DDC Chairman said that he will continue efforts to work tirelessly for ensuring all round development in Jammu making it a model area offering all basic amenities and facilities to its dwellers.
