JAMMU, May 30: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has demanded implementation of Supreme Court judgment of 1992 on Mandal report in view of abrogation of Article 370.
In a programme at Bandipora in Kashmir which was chaired by Kashmir province president of Union, Bisharat Najar, Chairman of Municipal Committee Bandipora, Mahesh Manav, national president of OBC United Front of India was chief guest and state general secretary Prof. Kali Dass of AIBCU was guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion AIBCU leaders said if Article 370 has been abrogated then why there is no implementation of 27 per cent quota for OBCs in J&K.
A similar meeting was organized on May 29 at Srinagar in which representatives from Kupwara, Budgam, Shopian, Budgam and Srinagar raised the demand for 27 per cent share for OBCs in J&K.
Abdul Kareem Hajam, Shabir Ahmed Najar, Arshad Shergojari, Javed Ahmed Chopan and others also spoke on the occasion.
