JAMMU, May 31: National Awami United Party (NAUP) general secretary women wing, Shikha Bandral has flayed the J&K Government for the killing of innocents and non-locals in Kashmir, where recently a man Deepu was shot dead.
Addressing a press conference here today Shikha said that the deceased was working as a security person with a local circus of Kashmir and belonged to Udhampur and was the only bread earner for his family including a pregnant wife, father and blind brother along with his wife and two children.
The NAUP leader claimed that all the local political parties were absent at the funeral of Deepu.
She said: “LG Manoj Sinha and his administration have different parameters for providing relief to the family of those killed in militancy as family members of influential deceased persons get financial package of Rs. 25-50 lakh along with govt job but no sympathy is shown to the poor.”
Shikha Bandral demanded relief of Rs. 1 crore for the family of Deepu and Government job for one of his family members.
Other present in the press conference were Pinky Bhagat, Devo Devi, Neetu Rani and Nisha Kumari.
