JAMMU, May 31: As part of Swachhta Pakhwada action plan and to contribute towards Swachh Bharat Mission launched by PM Modi, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) here today distributed cotton bags to the general public at Bahu Plaza.
The cotton bags were distributed by senior officials of POWERGRID to inspire and educate the people regarding ill effects of using polyethylene bags.
On this occasion, POWERGRID also organized a Nukkad Natak in association with Theatre Club, University of Jammu to highlight the advantages of maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness in surroundings.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is a Maharatna Enterprise under Ministry of Power having its regional headquarters of Northern Region-II at Jammu.
POWERGRID is engaged in inter-state bulk power transmission and has 174,601ckm of transmission lines, 273 sub-stations and more than 504,863 MVA of transformation capacity.
