UDHAMPUR, Dec 4: Two day long 6th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition organised by DIET Kud under the auspicious of State Institute of Education at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Udhampur conlcuded.
HR Pakhroo, Joint Director, Trainings, Principal SIE was chief guest, whereas Balbir Singh, Chief Education Officer was the guest of honour.
The jury members comprised of Brij Lal Salgotra, Field Advisory SIE, Nand Kishore SIE and Suresh Kumar Goria SIE.
While speaking, Pakhroo stressed upon inculcating the scientific attitude among the students.
A total of 85 exhibits were displayed in this exhibition from every nook and corner of the district comprising of elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools.
At elementary level GMS Omara, Tikri bagged first prize followed by Government Middle school Jakheni, Jib in the second place and Government Middle School, Gopa Mandir, Udhampur in the third place.
At secondary level, Government High School Moud, Jib, Government Girls High School Garhi and Government High School Battal Ballian bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
At Higher Secondary level, Government Higher Secondary School Jaganoo, Government Higher Secondary School Ramnagar and Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) Udhampur emerged winners.
Earlier, Vijay Lakshmi, Principal DIET Kud presented welcome address, whereas in the end JM Tharmat, HoD DIET Kud presented vote of thanks.
Sunil Sharma, Principal GHSS (Boys) Udhampur, Jattu Ram Principal GGHSS Udhampur, Dr KC Sharma, Principals of various HSS, ZEOs of different Zones and Headmasters of different HS, and teachers were present on the occasion.
Mulk Raj, Lecturer DIET Kud conducted the proceeding of the programme.
