UDHAMPUR, June 2: In two separate incidents, a young woman was found hanging near her house in village Surpa while dead body of a man was recovered from a water tank at village Sail Sallan in Udhampur.
According to the reports, Bimbla Devi (40), wife of Late Kaku Bhagat, resident of village Surpa in Udhampur, was found hanging from a wooden log in cattle shed near her house under mysterious circumstances.
Family member saw her hanging and immediately called the Udhampur Police Station following which SHO Raghuvir Singh rushed to the spot along with the police team and took the dead body in their custody.
The dead body of the deceased was later shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and a case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a young man found was found dead in a water tank under mysterious circumstances. The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar (40), son of Vishwa Nath, resident of Sail Sallan.
On being informed, Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and registered a case under 174 CrPC for further investigation.
