Police files charge sheet against nine criminals who attacked cops

SAMBA, June 3: Police here today under the guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh has filed a charge sheet against all the nine notorious criminals for murderous attack on police, case for which was registered in 2022 at Police Station Ghagwal through Police Post Rajpura.
It is pertinent to mention here that on December 28, 2022, cops from Police Post Rajpura while on duty were attacked by bovine smugglers at Malaani village in border area of Samba, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Post Rajpura, Police Station Ghagwal and consequently two cops were injured.
One head constable had sustained grievous head injuries and was hospitalized and got nine stitches on head.
A case in FIR No. 181/2022 U/S 307/353/332/336/147/ 148/323/325 IPC was registered at Police Station Ghagwal through Police Post Rajpura and investigation was started after which the main accused were arrested.
As investigation of the case was completed and the case was proved against nine hardcore criminals, the Challan was produced in the court of law for judicial determination.
The notorious criminals named in the charge sheet were Shab Ali alias Gugu, son of Sher Din, resident of Handa Chak; Mohd Sadiq alias Shiku, son of Taj Din, resident of Chak Bathal, Kathua; Sadiq Ali, son of Gugger, resident of Lakhadi Nagrota, Udhampur at present Haripur, Tehsil Mahreen; Maskeen Ali alias Jatu, resident of Chappaki, Tehsil Mahreen; Makhan Din, son of Hussan, resident of Malaani, Tehsil Rajpura; Zahoor Din, son of Hussan, resident of Malaani, Tehsil Rajpura; Mohd Shareef, son of Hussan, resident of Malaani, Tehsil Rajpura; Roshan Bibi, wife of Makhan Din, resident of Malaani, Tehsil Rajpura and Moju, son of Gaya, resident of Malaani Tehsil Rajpura, district Samba.
Investigation of the case was conducted by SHO Police Station Ghagwal, Bharat Bhushan under the supervision of Dy.SP, Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
SSP Samba, Benam Tosh said that stringent legal actions would be taken against all those who created lawlessness by carrying out attacks on police and all the accused involved in the crime would be arrested, their history sheets would be opened, investigations would be conducted and completed expeditiously and Challans would be produced in the court of law for judicial determination.
