AMRITSAR, June 3: IVY Hospital, Amritsar today announced the launch of its Kidney Transplant Facility.
Addressing a press conference, Sanjay Roy (GM Operations at IVY Hospital, Amritsar) said that the patients suffering from chronic kidney disease can get kidney transplant now in Amritsar only as they don’t need to travel outside Amritsar.
He said the doctors at IVY Hospital Amritsar are specialized in providing diagnosis, management and treatment for a range of kidney disease and kidney transplant. Our team works collectively to ensure quality treatment and comprehensive care so that patient can recover faster and live the kind of life they were living before they got kidney disease, he stated.
We in IVY Hospital, Amritsar have initiated the services of renal transplant with qualified team of specialists Dr. H K Imran Hussain (Nephrologist) and Dr Pars Ram Siani (Kidney Transplant Surgeon) having the experience of more than 150 kidney transplant successful surgeries, he informed.
Roy further said that apart from ABO compatible transplant, they have also started services of ABO incompatible and Swap transplant. “In addition to transplant services, we provide holistic kidney care which includes dialysis including peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis and other range of procedures including renal biopsies tunneled cuffed catheters including jugular and femoral and temporary catheters including jugular and femoral insertions,” he added.
“In addition, AVF creations are available and dialysis modalities like isolated ultrafiltration and SLED are also available. Furthermore, we provide membrane plasmapheresis in our centre as well. We also have dedicated successful running AV fistula programme in which we are doing all sorts of vascular access for dialysis AV fistula, transposition of veins, PTFe vascular graft,” said Sanjay Roy.
