JAMMU, June 4: Former BJP President and Minister Sat Sharma today started construction of deep drain work in Vijay Nagar, Ward 40 area of Tallab Tillo, Jammu.
As per a statement, the senior BJP leader was accompanied by JMC Councillor Neelam Nargotra, J&K BJP Media incharge, Dr Pardeep Mahotra and Mandal President Keshav Chopra. District General Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Yashpal Shivgotra, Chaman Lal among others were also president on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that Jammu West Assembly segment has witnessed massive development ever since the area was represented by the BJP in the Assembly.
“And now the JMC councillors are taking the development works further with same pace,” he said.
The BJP leader stated that many reformatory steps undertaken in Jammu West Assembly Constituency to improve infrastructure related to electricity, water supply, and drainage, have been benefitting the public at large now.
Speaking about the deep drain work being undertaken at Vijay Nagar area, the JMC councillor, Neelam Nargotra said, “this work is being executed under the supervision of JMC at total project cost of Rs 40, 63000, which also includes works in lanes adjoining Chanchal Super Market, Shiv Nagar, and Vishal Nagar.”
“Many more works are in pipeline to provide best infrastructure to the masses in the area,” she said.
Dr Pardeep Mahotra praised the Narendra Modi Government for taking several developmental works in Jammu and Kashmir.
Complimenting the proactive approach of former Minister Sat Sharma, Keshav Chopra said that BJP’s elected representatives are taking party’s development mission to every section of the society.
