House damaged

POONCH, June 4: A residential house was damaged and cattle killed after landslide hit it at Channan Sair Sailan village of Surankote in Poonch today.
Official sources said that fortunately no casuality or injuries to any person was reported but 12 goats, 1 buffalo, one Cow, five hens were killed under debris, beside this 20,000 cash and gold ornaments were inside house with other household items during this incident as one person saw the land sliding down slowly and told family to get out of the house, all of them came out and after some time the land slide occured in which two rooms and cattle shed of the house were damaged.
Incharge Police Post Behramgala Rajat Nanawat went on the spot after the incident to examine the damage. He identifies house owner as Mohd Bashir, son of Ahmed Din, resident of Channan Sair Sailan in Surankote, Family members said that this landslide took place due to water coming from newly constructed road upside the house.
Meanwhile Tehsildar Surankote, Naib Tehsildar Chandimarh Syed Tarif Shah visited the spot and said that the immediate relief shall be given to family, while the case will be taken up in SDRF to provide every sort of assistance.
