KATHUA, June 4: Thieves here today decamped with cash and jewellery from a house in Ward number 21, Amrit Vihar area.
Owner of the house Makhan Singh informed that he and his family were not present in the house when the burglars strike and decamped with a cash of Rs. 15 lakh and 15 tola Gold jewellery.
He said that the house articles were widely searched by the burglars as all the items were found scattered.
A police team reached the spot and collected evidences. It is pertinent to mention here that during the last few days, number of thefts have increased in the area and people were in panic.
