Srinagar, June 6: Acting tough against the persons involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police today arrested two persons and seized 2 vehicles in Baramulla.
In this regard, a police party of Police Post Mirgund under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Mohd Nawaz seized two vehicles (tippers) and arrested two persons for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Check Razak Khan Mirgund.
“They have been identified as Abdul Gani Bhat, son of Ali Mohammad Bhat, resident of Hardubani Kunzer & Sajad Ahmad Shah, son of Abdul Majeed Shah, resident of Gonipora Kunzer,” police said.
Accordingly, police said, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pattan and further investigation has been initiated.
