JAMMU, June 6: Shoolini University, a Himachal Pradesh-based research institution, has retained its position among the top 100 universities in India for the third year in a row, according to the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) under the Union Education Ministry.
As per a statement, it is the only university from Himachal Pradesh in the top 100, ranking 73rd this year, an improvement from 96th last year.
Shoolini University also holds the top position in Himachal Pradesh and is ranked 41st in the country for Pharmacy. In the Management category, it falls within the 101-125 band, securing the second position in Himachal, while in Engineering, it is in the 101-150 range and holds the second position in the State.
Chancellor of the varsity, Prof P K Khosla expressed pride in the university’s consistent top 100 ranking, despite scoring low in the perception marks.
Pro Chancellor Vishal Anand congratulated the faculty and students for their efforts towards world-class education and research.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla called the top 100 ranking for the third consecutive year a significant achievement and expressed the university’s aim to be among the top 50 in the country, highlighting the commitment of the faculty and students.
