JAMMU, June 6: A drug peddler was arrested with 8 grams of heroin from Peerkho area here today, police said.
They said a team of Police Station Pacca Danga led by SDPO North Sunil Kesar assisted by SHO concerned Inspector Sushil Kumar and incharge Police Post Chowk Chabutra PSI Anil Kumar while on patrolling duty near Peerkho rounded up a suspected person identified as Gourav Khajuria of Perekho, Jammu.
During search of the suspected person, he said, 8 grams of heroin was recovered.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 73/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act stands registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and further investigation taken up.
