PNBMT discusses issues of KPs

JAMMU, June 6: A meeting of Pt. Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PNBMT) was held today at Badshah Kalandar Ashram under the chairmanship of C.L Pandita.
The new leader of PNBMT who took charge as chairman of the Trust assured that all activities of the Trust would be put on a fast track mode and promised to have a significant personal contribution.
“In days to come I will reach out to the cadres and also leaders and opinion makers of the community to chalk out a renewed strategy for the passage of Temples and Shrines Bill,” C.L Pandita said adding: “Temples of Kashmir are essential component of our socio-cultural identity and we cannot be oblivious towards their survival.”
A team of ADKPUF led by P.N Raina and P.L Swadeshi raised the issues related to the unity amongst various KP groups and the leadership of PNBMT assured full cooperation.
Reports of encroachment at Jeevan Sahib Shrine were also discussed in the meeting and PNBMT leadership assured to take up the matter with concerned authorities.
Prof. R.L Raina raised the issue of Mangleshwar Ashram Safa Kadal.
Virender Raina, president PK said that it was only due to relentless campaign launched by the Trust that a global and national level consciousness was created for the preservation and protection of 5000 year old temples of Kashmir.
Kashmiri Lal gave an overview of the recent judicial and administrative measures taken by the Trust.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were B.L Saraf, M.M Thaploo, Sundri Lal Koul, N.M Gadroo, M.L Kaul, Bansi Lal Zar and Naveen Kaul.
