Brahman Sabha demands monthly salary for temple Pujaris

JAMMU, June 7: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha today demanded that all Pujaries of JK UT temples may be given monthly salaries to support their families as they are in object poverty and unable to make their both ends meet.
Interacting with media persons here, President of DBPS Ved Parkash Sharma and Yuva President Ritiz Khajuria said that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha may consider the demand of the Sabha favorably in their favor in view of rising prices of essential commodities.
They further said that the Govt of Madhya Pradesh had recently announced the salary of Rs 5000/- per month in favor of its all temples Pujaries of the State. This decision is appreciable and hoped that the Lieutenant Governor may consider the request of the Sabha favorably so that Pujaries in J&K may get a sigh of relief from rising prices, they added.
Other who were present in the press conference, included Gurdas Sharma, Pt V M Magotra, Advocate P C Sharma, N C Sharma, M L Sharma, Satyanand, Shiv Ram Sharma, Jagan Nath, Soujanaya Sharma, Subash Shastri, Sat Pal Sharma and others.
