Teachers Forum demands filling up of subject-wise vacancies

JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum has appealed the Government to order promotion of Teachers and Masters in all the streams of Plus 2 for filling up subject-wise vacancies in the Higher Secondary Schools.
Addressing a press conference, here today, the Forum general secretary Ganesh Khajuria said that the recent promotion of 155 Masters as Headmasters and regularization of about four thousand Education Volunteers as ReT will help streamlining the Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir.
” Similarly, the promotion of Masters and Lecturers as Senior Lecturers will bring the Education Department on the track,” he added and hoped an early instruction by the Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand to Director School Education in this regard.
Ganesh Khajuria also highlighted some other demands, like suitable adjustment of Masters presently attached in the office of CEO Jammu and repatriation of those Masters from Jammu who were posted in Doda, Kishtwar and other districts in 2011, timely release of salary grants to schools on half yearly basis as in other departments, filling up of vacant posts of Lab Assistants, restarting of Senior Teacher Grade and release of salary grants under SSA.
Others who were present in the press conference, included Rajinder Gupta, Gopal Singh, Satish Dutta, Darshan Sharma, Surat Singh Toofani, Surinder Choudhary, Raj Singh, Ravinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Vinod Uppal and Shallu Ram.
