JAMMU, Dec 6: Ahead of CRS inspection for final nod to chug the train on Udhampur-Katra section, General Manager Northern Railway is arriving Katra on December 9.
GM Northern Railway V K Gupta is likely to reach Katra on Monday to review the preparations for CRS inspection of the Udhampur-Katra track, which is almost ready for getting commissioned, sources said.
A high level team of Ferozpur Division also arrived here in connection with the arrangements for CRS inspection while several bogies and engines have already reached Katra for trial run on the track.
After its inspection, CRS will accord approval for chugging the train on 25 km long Udhampur Katra section while Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is likely to formally inaugurate the train on this track.
