REASI, Dec 6: District administration has set up two telephone lines at Shri Shiv Khori Shrine in order to ensure better connectivity and prompt response during emergency as well as facilitating the visiting pilgrims as the area does not have cellular connectivity so far.
The telephone lines provided by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be used for PCO at the cave shrine and another for the office established at Bhawan. BSNL authorities were asked to establish landline telephones but since the distance was more than 5 km the feasibility of two lines was not covered for which special permission had to be obtained. It will be a great relief for more than 20 lakh pilgrims visiting every year and also for better administrative communication.
The phone numbers 262075 and 262055 are being established at cave shrine.
