UDHAMPUR, June 8: A biker and a pillion rider died after their two-wheeler was hit by a car at Raper area of Majalta here today, police said.
They said Vinod Kumar (37) son of Sanak Ram of Bilaspur, Majalta, and Parkesh Kumar (age not known) son of Kaku Ram of Pathber, Majalta, were injured after a motorcycle (JK14F-0883) they were riding on was hit by a rashly driven Eeco car (HP74-5358) at Raper Majalata.
“The duo was taken to a local hospital from where they were referred to the District Hospital Udhampur, where they succumbed to their injuries,” police said.
While bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of District Hospital Udhampur a case under relevant sections of the law stands registered at Police Station Majalta and further investigation taken up.
