Mudgal visits Cooperative Wholesale Super Bazar, stresses for optimum utilization of infra

JAMMU, June 9: Commissioner/ Secretary Cooperative Department Yasha Mudgal today visited Jammu Cooperative Wholesale Limited Super Bazar. This was her first visit after the modernization work was done at Super Bazar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner/Secretary exhorted upon departmental officials and Super Bazar employees to work with zest so that they can provide best services to general public on competitive prices so that Super Bazar Jammu stands out as a reliable business enterprise in today’s competitive market environment.
She also laid down broader guidelines for making optimum utilization of the infrastructure owned by Super Bazar Jammu at different locations like Gandhi Nagar, Gole Market, Jammu University and outlet at Civil Secretariat Jammu. She also gave on the spot instructions for keeping these outlets open till late night hours so that the general public can avail the facilities provided in a convenient way.
The Commissioner/ Secretary also passed instructions regarding displaying commodities in an attractive and modern way so that general public is attracted towards Super Bazar and the sales improve further. She also directed for higher sales targets for Super Bazar for the ongoing and next financial year.
Earlier, General Manager of Super Bazar, Dr Punika Pandita apprised the Commissioner/ Secretary about the progress made by Super Bazar in sales portfolio over the last financial year and highlighted that sales worth Rs 10 crore have been made which is 27% more than the preceding year. She further informed that last year Super Bazar successfully ran a counter at Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar to cater to the needs of devotees of Shri Amarnath Ji and plans to do the same this year as well.
Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies Jammu, Dr Nirupa Rai along with Joint Registrar (Audit), Joint Registrar (Special), Additional Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Seointra and Deputy Registrar (Agri) Jammu were aso present on the occasion Mudgal also inaugurated Nescafe outlet within the premises of the Jammu Cooperative Wholesale Limited.
