Vodafone announces scholarship for meritorious students

JAMMU, Dec 7: Going ahead with its Vodafone Delights initiative, Vodafone India today announced a “Scholarship Programme” for the school students of Jammu and Kashmir for the academic year 2013-14.
All existing and new Vodafone customers whose children have scored 90 percent and above marks in the Class 10 and 12 Board exams are eligible for the scholarships.
All they have to do is fill an enrollment form giving details of their children and submit it at their nearest Vodafone store/mini-store within 30 days of declaration of J&K State Education Board/CBSE results. After receiving the detailed results, they will also be required to submit a copy of the mark-sheet.
Students achieving a perfect 10 CGPA score in the CBSE Class 10 exams and those scoring 90 percent and above marks in the J&K State Education Board and CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams can apply for the scholarships. The selected students will be awarded scholarship and certificate.
Commenting on the scholarship programme, Asit Shekhar, Business Head, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and J&K, Vodafone India, said that the company has introduced this scholarship programme for the second time in an effort to recognize and reward merit.
