JAMMU, June 11: As part of the Kabir Jayanti celebration, a function was organized today at Sant Kabir Temple, Old Janipur, Jammu.
A large number of Kabir devotees participated in the function wherein former minister and chairman of All J&K Kabir Sabha, Mula Ram was the chief guest.
While paying tributes to Kabir Ji Maharaj, Mula Ram said that Sant Kabir was a great social reformer who always preached through his satsangs the message of brotherhood among all religious, removal of untouchability and superstitions from the society. He said even at present times, the people remember Kabir ji for his secular nature and equality messages through his popular ‘Dohas’.
Many others also spoke on the occasion and praised the preachings of Saint kabir ji for harmony and secularism in the society at large. The Satsang was conducted by Dimple Bhagat of Kotli (RS Pura).
