SRINAGAR, June 11: Indian Army organized a special healthcare camp in association with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Narayana Superspeciality Hospital at Government Higher Secondary School, Laridora, Baramulla.
The Camp was inaugurated by Commander Navneet Bali (retired) of Indian Navy. The main aim of the Camp was to provide medical assistance to people living in the remote areas of the Kandi belt. The camp included free checkup and prescriptions from six specialized doctors. Consultation by Neuro-surgeon, Orthopaedic, Gastroenterology, Cardiologist, pediatrician, Gynecologist and general medical advice was covered during the medical camp.
Renowned specialist doctors from the UT, Army doctors of 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles along with volunteers from SMVD Narayana Superspeciality Hospital conducted the medical camp. The detailed assessment of the patient including vital check-up for accurate diagnosis of the ailment was followed by free distribution of medicines. Patients with acute ailments were further referred to the Superspeciality Hospital for free treatment in the coming days.
The medical camp was attended by around 700 patients who were assessed, advised and counseled.
