UDHAMPUR, June 12: Under mysterious circumstances, a young housewife ended her life by consuming some poisonous substance at the house of her in-law at Ghordi in Ramnagar, here today.
According to Police, Anu Devi (20), wife of Gopal Kumar Sharma, resident of village Surni in Ghordi Tehsil Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at her house. The family members rushed her to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where she died during the treatment.
After postmortem and completion of all the legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for the last rites.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case under Section 174 CrPC for the further investigation.
