Panthers Party condemns power cuts in Jammu

JAMMU, June 12; J&K National Panthers Party leader Vilakshan Singh has strongly condemned power curtailment schedule announced by the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd.
In a press statement Singh said that as per the schedule Jammu shall witness 2 hour long power cuts in urban areas and even longer power cuts in rural areas. He said that unscheduled power cuts are much more than the scheduled power cuts.
Singh said that BJP boasts of ushering in a new era of growth and development in J&K. But the power cuts being faced by the residents of UT of J&K have exposed the false claims of BJP. He said that UT administration had promised 24-hour power supply at least in the areas having smart meters but even the areas where smart meters have been installed are witnessing long power cuts. He said that electricity is the prime source of power and all businesses and industrial operations depend upon electricity.
Unavailability of 24 hour power supply adversely affects the development. Singh said that summer is at its peak and the people are suffering due to scheduled as well as un-scheduled power cuts. Singh said that all the promises of BJP have proved to be rhetoric only and the BJP has utterly failed to turn its rhetoric into reality. He alleged that BJP has failed to provide 24 hour power supply to residents of UT.
