Hari, Rajni listen public issues; seek support for Congress

JAMMU, June 12: District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural president, Hari Singh Chib along with senior Congress leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Rajni Bala of Ward number 60 here today visited Mohalla Dhok Paloura of Jammu North Assembly segment and listened public problems.
People of the area raised issues like unscheduled power cuts, scarcity of drinking water, defunct street lights and dilapidated condition of a link road.
They demanded construction of bathrooms near Temani Temple and water tank for storage of water above the bathroom complex.
Speaking on the occasion Chib expressed disappointment over unscheduled power cuts and criticized the non-completion of a water supply scheme in Mohallah Dhok for the last 10 years.
“Till date, no tube well has been dug for the scheme and even no land has been identified for the same purpose,” he maintained expressing displeasure over the imposition of Property Tax.
The Congress leader appealed the people of the area to support Congress to put an end to the alleged misrule of present dispensation.
JMC Councillor, Rajni Bala while addressing the public assured to take up the issues of locals with Commissioner JMC regarding construction of bathrooms, road repair, defunct street lights and drinking water problem for early redressal.
Jaswant Singh, Pummy Manhas, Padam Singh, Sandeep Manhas, Ajmer Singh, Bittu Chib, Veena Manhas, Sagar Singh, Bisha Manhas, residents of Mohalla Dhok Paloura and others were also present on the occasion.
