JAMMU, June 12: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) of the IRP Range Jammu, Sarah Rizvi, paid a visit to the Commando Training Centre (CTC) Sunjwan to assess the various activities and infrastructure facilities at the site.
Upon her arrival, she was warmly received by Anit Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Commanding Officer (CO) of the IRP-14th Battalion, along with other officers and officials of the unit. A Guard of Honour was presented to her at the quarter guard.
The Commandant of the IRP 14th Battalion briefed the DIGP about the training centre’s requirements during her visit. One of the highlights of her visit was the inauguration of the newly constructed dining hall at the training centre. She also took a comprehensive tour of the CTC campus and inaugurated a five-day PSO (Personal Security Officer) refresher course.
Addressing the trainees, the DIGP stressed the importance of the ongoing refresher course and the expectations placed on PSOs to effectively operate in various environments and situations. She emphasized the significance of maintaining physical fitness and mental alertness while carrying out their assigned duties.
Expressing gratitude for the DIGP’s visit, the officers and trainees at the centre thanked her for taking the time to inspect the facilities and interact with them.
