Rajeshwar’s ‘TAWI SPEAKS’ released

JAMMU, June 13: Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’ s new English book entitled ‘TAWI SPEAKS’ was released online by Notion Press, Chennai.
The book carries 16 articles on various subjects related to regional cultural heritage.
As per the writer, TAWI SPEAKS is in fact a small effort from his side for preserving and promoting mother tongue Dogri and cultural traditions of Duggar Pradesh. Through these articles, he wishes to state that the sacred river Tawi, also known as Surya Putri, is in fact a lifeline of Jammu province and speaks a lot about the sufferings of regional language and cultural heritage. Ironically, we lack that sight to see, hearing capacity to listen to and belongings to feel the pathos.
TAWI SPEAKS is in fact a call of sacred river to all of us that we have to realize our responsibilities towards our existence which is possible only if we take care of our language & cultural traditions and pass on it from generation to generation. The book carries a significant message.
It is pertinent to add here that Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’, who has bagged prestigious Bal Sahitya Puraskar-2022 of Sahitya Academy New Delhi and State Award for Hindi and Dogri literature by Government of Jammu & Kashmir in 2023, has 20 books to his credit before this one.
