REASI, June 13: District Police Reasi has booked a notorious criminal of Reasi under Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Amphalla Jammu.
The said criminal, identified as Makbool Ahmed alias Tian, son of Alam Din, resident of Gran Morh Reasi, was involved in many criminal cases. Case FIR number 115/2022, under section 379/201 IPC, FIR number 303/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC, FIR number 91/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC have been registered against him at Police Station Reasi.
In view of his continuous involvement in criminal cases and to safeguard the general public, his dossier for PSA was prepared on the directions of SSP Reasi Amit Gupta following which District Magistrate Reasi, Babila Rakwal issued formal order for detention of the accused.
SSP Reasi, while sharing the details, conveyed that Reasi Police is committed towards the safety of the public and to eradicate crime from the society.
