Multimedia exhibition on 9 years of Govt concludes in Samba

SAMBA, June 14: The first big ICOP (multimedia exhibition) organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, concluded here today after five days of successful events.
The concluding ceremony, held at Kehli Mandi Ground, Samba, was presided over by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh.
In his address, the SSP Samba commended CBC for their role in transforming J&K and disseminating crucial information about Government schemes at the grassroots level.
He emphasized that the exhibition served a dual purpose of showcasing the Government’s achievements over the past nine years and raising awareness about public welfare schemes.
Benam Tosh stressed the importance of spreading the information provided during the program to the grassroots level through word of mouth.
Ghulam Abbas, the Joint Director of CBC J&K and Ladakh region, expressed gratitude to the District Administration of Samba and all stakeholders for their coordination in organizing the ICOP.
He appreciated the enthusiasm of the people who participated in the awareness program despite the hot weather, highlighting that awareness and active participation are essential to ensure the intended benefits reach the target population.
Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director of CBC J&K and Ladakh region, urged the youth to focus on the career opportunities offered by the Government and actively contribute to nation-building for the betterment of the country.
Throughout the event, resource persons from various line departments highlighted the schemes under flagship programs, and departmental troupes of CBC Jammu & PRTs presented theme-based cultural items.
On the concluding day, students and registered cultural parties actively promoted the Government’s achievements over the past nine years. The multimedia exhibition included panels on different welfare schemes initiated by the Central Government to eradicate poverty from the country.
Various departments of the UT of J&K, including Animal Husbandry, ICDS, Health, and Employment, set up stalls and provided on-spot services by enrolling beneficiaries online.
