KATHUA, June 15: While taking a potshot at Omar Abdullah and a section of leaders of National Conference, BJP Spokesperson and former MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania said that the way development has unfolded, peace returned and people’s faith restored, political narrative in J&K has virtually metamorphosed while rejected opposition was issuing out of context outbursts.
“The youth of J&K stand for change. This has rattled NC leadership and their poise and sense of rationale too. Till now, J&K had been fed by empty slogans and tried rhetoric,” he said, while addressing a Sanyukt Morcha Sammellan at Basohli, here today.
Pathania further called upon people in Kashmir to remain aware about diversionary tactics of such politically rejected, spent-up forces who are trying to put up a show on empty slogans and non issues.
“People and forces which have been dividing and creating dissensions in the people stand exposed and marginalised. All-out campaign of Government against terrorism, corruption and secessionism has set a trend and rather a wave in J&K whereby people have come to heave a sigh of relief. The people especially youth of J&K want to connect and identify with the policies and programmes of Bharat Sarkar under the leadership of Narendra Modi,” he said.
While pressing upon the party cadres drawn from various far flung pockets of district Kathua, he said that Morchas constitute the lifeline of a healthy organisational set-up in BJP. He called upon them to reach out to each and every section of the society – farmers, OBC, SCs, STs, women, youth so that issues of almost each and every section could be discussed and aspirations of theses sections could be addressed effectively, he added.
Darshan Thakur, district President conducted proceedings of the meeting. He also threw light on various organisational activities of BJP under ‘9 Saal Bemisaal’ campaign of BJP.
Among others, who spoke on the occasion, included Shammi Sapolia, President MC Basohli; Sushma Jamwal, BDC Chairman Basohli; Balwinder Singh, Mandal President, Basohli; Mohd Yasin Malik, (Minority Morcha); Insar Sheikh, Udit Padha, (Yuva Morcha) Kuldip Kattal (OBC Morcha), and representatives of various morchas drawn from various far flung pockets of the area.
