JAMMU, June 16: All JK +2 Lecturers’ Forum today held a routine meeting under the presidentship of Pardeep Singh Rakwal (president of the Forum for Jammu province) and Shakeel Ahmed (Kashmir province president) with RS Salathia (chairman) chairing the meet.
Many lecturers and officers of +2 cadre joined the meeting on virtual mode. While the grant of ACP and regularization of all incharge (I/c) lecturers including those holding PG degrees through distance mode in Science stream having permissions from Director School Education Jammu/Kashmir prominently figured in the meet, other vital issues also came under discussion.
In the meeting, it was demanded that all posts in School Education Department upto Director level should be filled up from the School Education Department itself to bring proficiency, efficiency and professionalism in the Department. The Forum strongly advocated for creating the post of Vice Principals in all Higher Secondary Schools with financial benefits on time- bound pattern.
President Kashmir division in his address put light on various issues in detail including regularization and grant of ACP. He expressed satisfaction over the unity between Kashmir and Jammu units of the Forum. He invited suggestions from the participants. He also urged to get united for the welfare of the +2 cadre with student- centric approach.
Chairman of the Forum also spoke at length on all issues especially the appointment of officers of +2 cadre upto the level of Director. The Forum also resolved in one voice that officers from School Education Department should be deputed to JKBOSE and there should be no deputation from Higher Education Department as JKBOSE deals with the students up to 12th class.
On ongoing ATD, the Forum expressed hope that grievances of teachers/masters/lecturers raised by them would be addressed on priority. The meet unanimously urged the School Education Department to concede the genuine demands of the forum on priority.
