UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: In two different cases, Udhampur Police today seized 83 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootleggers.
Reports said that based on reliable information, a team of District Special Branch Udhampur carried out checking of one Bansi Lal of Kakryal and recovered 41 pouches of J&K Excise liquor from his possession. The accused was smuggling these pouches in a polythene bags for illegal sale.
In another case, District Special Branch Udhampur and Police Station Udhampur arrested Anil Kumar of Udhampur and recovered 42 pouches of J&K Excise liquor from his possession.
