JAMMU, Dec 8: Natrang presented Hindi play ‘Gaye They Hari Bhajan Ko’ in its weekly Sunday Theatre Series at Natrang Studio, here today.
The play was based on a story dramatized by Ramesh Bail and directed by Neeraj Kant.
The plot of the play is an interesting blend of fact and fiction where an imaginary character of ‘Yamraj’ interacts with the real life people and thus, much of the humour is created in a sensible manner.
The story goes like this, while sitting in office, some people wish to die as they are fed-up with their lives, but this wish was superficial. Incidentally ‘Yamraj’ happens to listen to their fake wish and feels pleased as people are themselves inviting him. So, he decides to snatch their lives very humbly and also in the way they want. But, to his surprise, when he approaches them one by one, all of them denied to give away their lives rather they even confused him with their cleverly crafted excuses.
‘Yamraj’ got irritated and infuriated because of breach of this trust which these greedy people were doing but he could not do anything. In addition to this, some people get hold of him, considering him to be an impersonator who has disguised for some hidden agenda and handover him to the a police cop, who also had no ears for the explanations of ‘Yamraj’.
The actors who performed in the play included Mohd Yaseen, Masood Qadir, Ravi Choudhary, Sachin Bamba, Rishiv Prabhakar, Nitin Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Mahikshit Singh Langeh, Ravinder Manhas and Pankaj Verma
