JAMMU, June 16: Senior BJP leader and Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) from Ward number 3, Narotam Sharma here today started the work of laying tiles in streets and drain work in Purani Mandi area of old Jammu city.
These works shall incur an expenditure of Rs. 4 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Narotam said that BJP is committed for the development of every nook and corner of J&K and every worker of BJP works on the ideology of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
He also directed the officers and the contractor to ensure completion of the work within given timeframe and without any compromise on quality of the work.
Locals of the area raised many issues before the Councillor who assured them to take all the issues before the concerned officials for solution.
He urged upon the residents of his Ward to help JMC in keeping the area clean by shunning the habit of throwing garbage here and there.
Narotam asked his Ward people to use the services of garbage collector auto moving from door-to-door to collect household garbage.
